At the apex of the EDIF structure is the EDIF Board constituted in accordance with the EDIF Act 582 comprising Government Appointees and representatives of specified institutions which are stakeholders in the export sector. EDIF has five main departments namely:
• Credit and Projects
• Export Development & Promotion
• Legal and Administration
• Finance
• Audit
The members of the management team are:

Chief Executive Mr. Timothy K. Obeng is the Chief Executive of Export Development and Investment Fund (EDIF) and a member of the EDIF Board. He is responsible for the overall administration of EDIF and implementation of the Fund’s policies.
Mr. Obeng has vast expertise in trade promotion from his many years at the Ministry of Trade and the Ghana Investment Promotion Council (GIPC). He was also the Deputy Managing Director of Ghana Consolidated Diamonds until 1996. He currently serves on several Boards such as the VALCO Trust Fund, the Catholic Standard Newspapers, Chairman of the Board of Governors of Our Lady of Providence Girls’s Secondary School, Japekrom, Brong Ahafo and Chairman of Drobo Community Bank Limited, Drobo, Brong Ahafo.

- Director, Legal & Admin.
Mrs. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi has responsibilities over human resource functions, procurement of logistics, legal matters, board secretarial and general administration. A lawyer by profession she has over 10 years experience in administrative and legal issues having worked with Unilever Ghana Limited as Legal Officer for two years and as Group Legal Advisor to the VLISCO Ghana Group for four years. Mrs. Oteng-Gyasi has just completed an EMBA, Human Resource option programme at the University of Ghana Business School.

- Director, Credit & Projects
Mr. Nkrumah as Head of Credit and Projects is responsible for review of loan applications for assistance, project evaluation, implementation, inspection and monitoring of projects and collaboration with the DFIs. He brings to EDIF, several years’ experience in project financing, appraisal and supervision from both the public and private sectors. Mr. K. M. Nkrumah worked with Bank for Housing and Construction for twenty-three years. During this period, he held the following positions: Head of Project Appraisal Department, Head of Project Supervision Department, Head of Credit Control Department and Acting Director,
Commercial Banking Division. He had a stint with J. S. Addo Consultants Limited as a Chief Consultant.

- Director, Export Dev't & Prom.
Mr. Agyabeng Antwi-Agyei is the Director for Export Development and Promotion. He is responsible for reviewing development and promotion applications, monitoring and inspecting development and promotion projects. Mr. Antwi-Agyei worked with the Ministry of Finance for six years preparing project feasibility reports, monitoring and evaluating the implementation of World Bank funded projects etc. He spent ten years in USA studying Economics at the Masters and Ph.D level. He has since 1996 been a part time lecturer in Economics and Finance at the University of Ghana Business School

- Director, Audit
Mr. Samuel Quao is the Director of Audit. He carries out independent appraisal activity for review of accounting, financial, administrative and other operations as a basis for reporting to management. He also monitors loan applications, recoveries and ensures proper application of grants. Prior to joining EDIF he worked with Ernst and Young Ghana as a Senior Consultant. His responsibilities ranged from financial due diligence reviews, diagnostic studies, business planning, accounting, auditing to tax assignments. He has provided recommendations leading to corporate reorganization, financial restructuring, modernization and business process and internal control improvement. Samuel holds a B.A in Economics from University of Ghana and is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana.

- Director, Finance
Mr. Michael Ofori as the Director of Finance, has responsibility over accounts preparation, budgets, payroll and all treasury functions, financial management, exploring and monitoring sources of funds for the Fund. Prior to joining EDIF he worked with Panell Kerr Foster and conducted audit work at Bank of Ghana, Ashanti Goldfields Corporation, Ghana Commercial Bank, Taysec Construction and Consultancy at National Investment Bank Limited. |
